Community Values

Our mission is guided by the values of our community. It is important to periodically assess what these values are and which features our community wishes to preserve.

Mapping What We Love:  The Values of the Mount Holly Community

On July 24, 2018, we hosted an event designed to recognize what it is, exactly, that makes Mount Holly special. Special to us, that is. The event was led by Monica Przyperhart, of the Community Wildlife Program at Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department.

Participants got to decide what they most appreciate about our place. Everyone had a chance to answer the question:

What do I love about Mount Holly?

Monica helped us form four different teams. Each team identified specific areas of value on a map of the town.

Afterwards, Monica compiled the values identified by the separate groups and plotted them over a map of the town. We hope these data will be useful in future planning efforts as well as useful to the community at large.

What do you value most about Mount Holly? Are there things our teams may have missed? If so, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
